If you are in the market for a new, effective torrent search engine, you have come to precisely the right place! One of my missions in life is to catalog and review only the best torrent sites out there. Regardless of what kind of files you happen to be looking for – be it TV show episodes, albums, songs, movies, eBooks, computer programs, anime, anything – TorrentSites will be able to help you out. All you have to do is browse through my neatly organized lists of reviews. Never again go through the time-consuming stress of searching for a reputable and safe torrent search engine!

Now, you may be wondering, ‘why do I even have to find a new torrent search engine to begin with? Isn’t The Pirate Bay more than enough?’ Well, to answer that concern, you should be aware of the fact that torrent sites have a very volatile nature. The Pirate Bay, in other words, could be taken down at any second. It’s honestly a miracle that this site has persisted as long as it has. If you need proof of this, just take a look at the rise and fall of Kick Ass Torrents – a torrent search engine that, at its peak, was even more popular than The Pirate Bay. So, you never know when you are going to need a new torrent search engine in your bookmarks!

Having said all that, what kind of torrent site should you bookmark? What sort of site is the best to have in your arsenal, whether as a backup or a new go-to torrent search engine? Firstly, to figure out the answer to that question, I have a few more fundamental questions for you. First: would you prefer a larger, more heavily populated torrent search engine that caters to a diverse range of content? Or do you think you might rather have a smaller, more niche and tight knit community of torrent experts? Both options, it turns out, have their relative strengths and weaknesses. At the end of the day, though, I think it really just boils down to a matter of preference.

If you are looking for an obscure file, one that you have struggled to find everywhere else on the web, for instance, it might be worth considering one of the many smaller, more exclusive torrent search engines that exist. There are many niche torrent sites that specialize in certain types of content. The members of these sites tend to not only be advanced P2P file sharers, but they also tend to be buffs of whatever medium the site is devoted to. So, for example, a private, invite-only movie torrent site is generally filled with movie buffs who are also active and passionate torrenters.

The downside, though, to such a site is the fact that, as I just mentioned, they are extremely exclusive. These sites tend to be invite-only, meaning that you will have to already know someone who was invited to the site in order to be given a registration link.

The problems with the larger, more general torrent search engines, such as The Pirate Bay and Kick Ass Torrents is the fact that, well, they are as inclusive as it gets. Therefore, there is not much in the way of a built-in system for quality assurance. Anyone can upload anything. The people, too, who download and upload from these torrent sites are often more casual in their torrent pursuits. This means that they are not as serious … they may not seed as frequently, resulting in torrents that can be slow or, in extreme cases, unable to be downloaded. The bigger sites, though, to their credit, do tend to have tons of torrents. When it comes to finding a well-known and popular movie, album, show, game, etc., these sites should give you no grief in tracking it down.

So, ultimately, I think that the site that you go with depends on the file you are looking for. The way that I do it is job specific. Whatever file I am looking for dictates what torrent search engine I rely on. Say I want to download the new Drake album, for example, The Pirate Bay is going to have hundreds of files, each with hundreds of seeds of it available. But if I want to find, say, a demo tape that Drake released before he became famous, perhaps I will need to consult a more exclusive music torrent site.

There is also a third kind of torrent site that we have not yet discussed. The kind of torrent search engine that Dirty Torrents is considered to be. The third type is the torrent meta search engine … essentially a torrent aggregator site. Instead of hosting torrent files directly, Dirty Torrents simply links to torrents from a collection of other torrent sites, making it easier to search an even larger database of torrents, meaning that you will be even more likely to find what you are looking for (and with enough seeds to execute a fast download).

Where, then, does Dirty Torrents fall on the spectrum of torrent search engines, from best of the best to worst of the best? Well, let’s take a closer look and find out, shall we?

The layout of Dirty Torrents, honestly, irked me a bit when I first visited the site. It is off-center. Maybe this won’t bother you as much, but it triggered my OCD immediately. The whole site is slightly left justified, as if a simple HTML error occurred and was never rectified. You’ll find the search bar, Dirty Torrents logo (a muddy, sloppy print with a filthy handprint), and a concise list of categories for convenient browsing.

I do like how easy Dirty Torrents is to navigate, though, as well as how clean (ironic, I know) the search results appear. Instead of the typical data-heavy grid layout that other torrent search engines offer when you conduct a search, Dirty Torrents separates each of their files with their own thin-bordered box. It makes things very neat and tidy, much easier to take in all the information.

Click on a file and, instead of being brought to the traditional information page that you will find on sites like The Pirate Bay, you will be brought to a list of host sources that offer the torrent. From there, you have to click into the source site in order to access the download link.

One aspect of the site’s design that is incontrovertibly successful is the fact that Dirty Torrents contains zero ads. This is nothing short of a miracle for a torrent search engine. And one that I welcome with open arms. Dirty Torrents does, however, take donations. So, if you can afford it and you find that you end up using this site often, please consider supporting them!

 Content and Features

As the name suggests, yes, you are able to find XXX content on Dirty Torrents. This, of course, is not a unique component of this torrent search engine. But it does seem as if this site is especially effective in that regard (probably due to the aggregator feature … there are tons of porn torrents out there, after all). However, porn is not all that you are going to be able to find on Dirty Torrents. It is, indeed, a very versatile torrent meta search engine.

Whether you are looking for movies, TV shows, music, audiobooks, video games, eBooks, anime, or applications, Dirty Torrents has you covered. If there is a torrent of it elsewhere on the web, Dirty Torrents will, more than likely, be able to lead you to its magnet link!

 Mobile and Desktop Experience

Honestly, it looks like this site may have been made with mobile browsing primarily in mind. None of the design issues that arise on the desktop version of the site seem to be present in the mobile browser. Everything is centered and looking great on my smartphone. So, great news for those of you who prefer to torrent on the go … Dirty Torrents is one of the best mobile torrent search engines I have seen to date. Of course, the sites that Dirty Torrents link to, however, are bound to vary in mobile quality.

Suggestions that I have for Dirty Torrents

There is so much to love about this site. I am not crazy, personally, about the setup of a meta torrent search engine … I do wish that I could access the magnet links of these files (even if from different sources) without having to click into various third-party sites (it kind of defeats the purpose of an aggregator, in my opinion).

Some design flaws
Aggregator format somewhat annoying
